Our story
Hi! We are Kevin and Victoria, the bakers behind Restriction Kitchen, a Black and Asian-owned micro-bakery based in the Outer Sunset neighborhood in San Francisco. Our bakes blend playful creativity with traditional techniques, and are inspired by Victoria’s Filipina heritage and roots in Hong Kong. We always strive for creative flavors, perfect textures, and that sought-after perfect level of not-too-sweet. Our bakes are crafted to delight both Celiacs and gluten-enjoyers alike.
Victoria started baking for fun in high school with her chef mom, and Kevin grew up watching his grandmother baking Christmas cookie boxes for the whole family. We’ve been doing commissions and pop-ups for the past three years now, but we started experimenting with gluten free cooking and baking back in 2018, when Kevin’s dietary restrictions drove us to creating our own treats.
